Sensei John Lambert Festival with Higaonna Sensei Announcement

Introduction:

In June 2010, IOGKF International lost one of its founding member, one of its longest serving country chief instructors and one of its most loveable characters. Sensei John Lambert, IOGKF Scotland Chief Instructor passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer last year. Sensei Lambert was a long time students of Higaonna Sensei and a very respected IOGKF senior instructor, who taught Gasshuku’s in countries as far away as Australia.

On August 1 – 2, 2011, Higaonna Morio Sensei will make a journey to the bonnie shores of Scotland to honour the memory of Sensei John Lambert and also pray for his soul. Whilst there, Higaonna Sensei will be running a 2 day special Gasshuku, which will be part of the inaugural Sensei John Lambert Memorial Festival.

Higaonna Sensei will be assisted by Sensei Ernie Molyneux. Travelling from Australia for the event will be David Lambert, Sensei Lambert’s nephew and Editor of the International newsletter.

As well as training and meeting with Sensei John Lambert’s Children, Higaonna Sensei will be taking part in a special memorial dinner in Sensei Lambert’s honour.
