Welcome back to the IOGKF International Newsletter and to our second issue. This issue has proven to be one of ‘first’s’ in IOGKF International Newsletter history.

Top of the list, I want to say thank you to all the people who have contributed and supported myself and the International newsletter over the last twelve months. This year we have really raised the standard of the newsletter and how our members interact with each other internationally. I want to take the time to thank the people who have really supported our work this year.

All of the above people made life so much easier for me this year with their correspondence, organisation and kindness. They include our great newsletter staff, headed by Nakamura Sensei. All our web organisation completed by the fantastic Sensei Helmut Leitner (Australia) and our fantastic translations team: Sensei Luis Nunes (Spain), Antonio Pagan (Spain) Elena Martinez Cornet (Spain), Carine Vias (France), Andrea Ramberti (Italy). Also I want to acknowledge the hard and dedicated work of Sensei Roberto Zapata (Colombia) who has graphically designed our extremely popular comic book series free of charge! Thanks also to Howie Hamilton for sharing his photographic gifts with us.

I also want to pay a special thanks to Sensei Bakkies Laubscher, who never says no to support the newsletter in any way. He, along with Sensei Ernie Molyneux have been great driving forces to getting us to where we are today and I thank them both, along with Yamashiro Sensei who has also really come on board this year. I would also like to thank Sensei Paolo Spongia from Italy for becoming our Zen correspondent and writing so many wonderful articles for us this year, along with Sensei Adrienne Langgartner and Sensei Bogdan Kurilko for their correspondence and support.

Of course there are many others from our International family who have also contributed this year and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their generosity also. Last but not least, I wish to thank Higaonna Sensei for continuing to let me hold this position in his mighty Empire.

Thank you all, I could not do this without you.

The next newsletter will be released in March 2011. It will be a large scale newsletter with video interviews with Higaonna Sensei and the official Oceania Gasshuku report. The cut off date for this issue will be March 10th, 2011. I want to encourage members to keep up the good work and share their countries events with the rest of the IOGKF world, via Gasshuku reports.

Included in this edition of the newsletter is the official preview for 2011’s  Oceania Gasshuku with Higaonna Sensei. I want to encourage and invite all members to come ‘down under’ and experience New Zealand’s natural beauty and to train with Higaonna Sensei.

Finally, I’d like to wish all our members and their families worldwide, a very Merry Christmas and a safe, prosperous and healthy New Year!
